Hagada Ha’Smolit is pleased to announce the first initial stage of cooperation with the evolving Data Base of the Israeli Radical Left. The long range vision of this project is digitalize thousands of articles (leaflets, newspapers, magazines, press clippings, protocols and other items). It goes without saying that we are at the very first steps in this project.
As a matter of fact, we are still in the "pilot" stage. We hope to involve other activist and to mobilize funds in order to expedite and professionalize this project. As a matter of fact the first installment of material – on Women in Black is highly experimental.
The First Project – Women in Black – The First Years
The present database contains 400 items organized in PDF files, according to year.
The material includes press clippings and photographs, material authored by WIB groups – including WIB news bulletins, leaflets and organizational lists and documents.
We aware that the database is not exhaustive. Therefore, we would like to receive additional original documents from friends (to be returned after inclusion into the database). We hope to add additional features to help the viewer locate specific material and move around easily in the database.
